What is the Volunteer Generation Fund's Impact on Minnesota?

In partnership with Minnesota Alliance for Volunteer Advancement (MAVA), ServeMinnesota uses funding from the AmeriCorps Volunteer Generation Fund to support organizations across Minnesota that engage volunteers in service to their communities. MAVA helps organizations strengthen their capacity to recruit, connect, and retain volunteers through a variety of services and initiatives. MAVA offers training in leadership development, volunteer management practices, and JEDI in volunteerism, as well as two annual conferences (the Volunteer Engagement Leadership Conference and the Dismantling Inequities Conference). They also run Service Enterprise, a comprehensive change management initiative for organizations seeking to better leverage volunteers as a strategic resource. MAVA also provides grants to volunteer-driven organizations in Minnesota, helping grantees develop innovations that increase the number of volunteers and volunteer effectiveness.
